Khotia Chacapampa

Day 1. La Paz – Khotia Lagoon – Ajwani

Departure from La Paz by 4×4 to the camp in Laguna Khotia 4,450 mts. After three hours by car, we ascend diagonally to the East of the Chiara Khota lake, and ascend up to 4800 mts. Camping in Ajwani lagoon (4 hours of walking).

Day 2. Ajwani – Janchallani Lake

Continuing the ascent through a mountainous path on the left flank and continuing the ascent, we cross the pass at 4700 meters that allows us to observe the impressive Huayna Potosí mountain. Camping in Janchallani lagoon 4500 mts. 6 hours of trekking.

Day 3. Lake Janchallani-Chiarkhota

From this splendid lake we must once again go up another step, until we find the Juri Khota lagoon. , with impressive views of the Nevado Condoriri. We arrive at the pass of Pico Austria and descend to Lake ChiarKhota, reaching the base camp of the Tuni Condoriri lagoon. 4600 mts. 7 hours of trekking.

Day 4. Lake Condoriri – Liviñosa / or by María Lloco.

We must go straight up to the Aguja Negra mountain pass, the Pico mirador is the place that already shows us the 4800 mts pass. From the place, if the sky is clear, we will have a good view of the snowy peaks. Camp in Liviñosa lagoon. 4,300 mts. 5 hours of trekking.

Day 5. Liviñosa – Botijlaca or Huayna Potosí Base Camp

This last day, we will have two and a half hours of walking to get to Chacapampa and the town of Botijlaca where the transport awaits us to ascend to the Zongo lagoon, spectacular view of the snowy Huayna Potosí, mining cemetery and other multicolored lagoons.
