Glaciar Lagoon

Day 1. La Paz 3600m. to Sorata 2700m.

Departure from La Paz in private transportation to the Sorata Valley at 2800mts, a beautiful town located at the foot of the Illampu mountain, along the stretch of the road you can see the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Royal Cordillera. Sorata historical place of the colonial and republican times.

Day 2. Sorata-Chillata

Departure from the Sorata valley, beginning the walk with the ascent to the town of Kolani for two and a half hours where we will have lunch and then restart the walk towards the "Chillata" lagoon where the first campsite will be made.

Day 3. Chillata Lagoon – Glaciar Lagoon

This day we will ascend to a Glaciar Lagoon at an altitude of 5200 m, this walk takes 3 hours and a half. Arriving at it, we will rest for lunch, then we will observe the highest peaks of the Illampu mountain and then descend again to the Chillata lagoon, for the camp.

Day 4. Chillata - Sorata Lagoon

The descent becomes easier and more pleasant, giving us the opportunity to better appreciate the landscape of the canyons that descend towards more fertile valleys. Approximately 6 hours of descent, lodging night in Sorata.

Day 5. Sorata - La Paz

After a good breakfast, our vehicle picks us up back to the city of La Paz.

Minibus (van) with oxygen equipment. 4×4 vehicle to travel around Bolivia (Toyota Land Cruiser).
