This itinerary covers a large part of the Atacama Desert. The most outstanding places are San Pedro de Atacama, Geysers del Tatio, Valle de la Luna, Salar de Atacama, climbing the Lascar, San Pedro and Guallatiri Volcanoes, Isluga National Park, Chungara Lake, and much more.

Day 1. Arrival in Santiago

Reception of the group at the Santiago de Chile Airport. Transfer by private vehicle to the Hotel in Santiago. Check of personal mountain equipment.

Day 2. Flight to Calama

Transfer from the hotel to the Santiago airport. Flight to Calama. Transfer to the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 3. Trekking San Pedro – Machuca

Departure from San Pedro in the direction of the village of San Bartolo. At the beginning of the walk we will visit the Pukara de Kitor. Camp.

Day 4. San Bartolo-Rio Grande

Trek through the valley that leads to the town of Río Grande. Camp near the town. Camp.

Day 5. Rio Grande – Machuca – Tatio

Trek to the town of Machuca: Transfer to Tatio, place where the famous geysers are located. Camp.

Day 6. Tatio Geysers – CB Lascar Volcano

Departure before dawn to the Tatio geysers. Transfer to the base camp of the Lascar Volcano of 5,154m.

Day 7. Lascar Volcano summit and descent to base camp

Ascent to the 5,140m summit, where one of the best panoramic views of the Atacama Desert and its neighboring volcanoes is achieved.

Day 8. San Pedro de Atacama

Return to San Pedro de Atacama, visiting the Lejía lagoon, Salar de Aguas Calientes and Valle de la Luna. Hotel.

Day 9. San Pedro volcano. 6,145m.

Transfer in the direction of Calama, to head north to the base camp of Volcan San Pedro. Camp.

Day 10. Hike to camp 1

Camp at 4,500m.

Day 11. Hike to camp 2

Camp at 5,300m.

Day 12. San Pedro Volcano Summit

Ascent to the summit of 6,140m. Return to camp 1.

Day 13. Ollague

Return to the base camp to continue the trip to the town of Ollagua, on the border with Bolivia. On this journey we will visit the Ascotan salt flats and their lagoons. Camp.

Day 14. Gossip

After a few kilometers, our road descends from the high Andes to Pozo al Monte. Saltpeter visit. Ascent again to the Chusmisa hot springs, pleasant hot springs with a temperature of 40ºC. Camp

Day 15. Salar de Surire

Already in the high Andes, we will visit the Isluga National Park where we find the Isluga Volcano of 5,530m. The trip continues to the Salar de Surire. Camp.

Day 16. Guallatiri Volcano

Transfer through the altiplano to the base camp of the Guallatiri Volcano of 6,063m. Camp.

Day 17. Guallatiri Summit

Day 18. Guallatiri-Chungara-Arica

Departure from Guallatiri and visit Chungara Lake located at 4,500m and neighboring the Parinacota Volcano. Descent to sea level to the city of Arica, passing through the town of Putre. Hotel.

Day 19. Arica-Santiago

Air transfer to the city of Santiago.

Day 20. Return

Transfer from the hotel in Santiago to the international airport.
